Rock On! Jack Black Reunites With Grownup 'School of Rock' Kids

Yes, take a moment and come to terms with the fact that "School of Rock" is now a 10-year-old movie. When you're ready, read on ...
Jack Black brought back memories of head-banging music education on Facebook on Thursday when he posted a photo of himself and some of his star pupils from "School of Rock," one of the actor's most popular films. The cast reunited in Austin, Texas, and like the movie, the evening was topped off with the group rocking out on stage.

Except for the addition of a rather formidable beard, Jack pretty much looks the same ... though his students are most definitely now all grown up.

"School of Rock" chronicles the long, hard, rockin' road taken by a would-be rock star en route to his destiny as the greatest music instructor in the world. In desperate need of some cash to pay the rent, Dewey Finn (Black) poses as a substitute teacher and ends up turning a class of fifth graders into a rock group that competes in the Battle of the Bands.
The students pictured here all had their own moments to shine — and rock — in the film. To date, the only one who's pursued an acting career post-"School of Rock" is Miranda Cosgrove.
Rebecca Brown as Katie 'Posh Spice,' the cello player who learns that a bass guitar is pretty much the same instrument and lets her fingers do the rockin', keepin' that G note comin' all day long.
Kevin Alexander Clark as Freddy 'Spazzy McGee' Jones, the bad boy and career detention server who finds his calling as a wild and crazy drummer, joining the likes of Keith Moon from The Who and Animal from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
Miranda Cosgrove as Summer 'Tinkerbell' Hathaway, the class busybody and band manager who helps Dewey persuade the Battle of the Bands higher-ups to let the tardy students audition for the competition on the grounds that they're all orphans terminally ill with "stick-it-to-da-man-ni-osis." Cosgrove has gone on to play the role of Carly Shay on "iCarly" and provide the voice of Margot in the "Despicable Me" movies.
Robert Tsai as Lawrence 'Mr. Cool,' the piano player who doesn't think he's cool enough to be in a rock band but soon learns that being in a rock band makes you the "bee's knees." "Let's, rock, let's, rock, today."
Joey Gaydos Jr. as Zack 'Zack-Attack' Mooneyham, the lead guitarist who pens the song "School of Rock" that the band performs at the Battle of the Bands rather than Dewey's (rather Tenacious D-sounding) "The Legend of the Rent."
The gang celebrated their decennial on Thursday in Austin with a red carpet, screening, and Q&A, as well as an after party that featured a performance by the "School of Rock" band.
Director Richard Linklater and screenwriter/co-star Mike White, who played Dewey's roommate Ned Schneebly, were also in attendance.
"School of Rock" opened on October 3, 2003, and went on to earn over $81 million at the domestic box office.
